Foxl is an AI agent that lives on your own machine - your files, terminal, browser, and connected apps. It keeps working while you are away, and you can check in from your phone.

One sentence in, a finished presentation out. Recorded from the shipped app.

What other agents can't do

Cloud agents can't touch your machine. Foxl lives there.

One task, both screens, live. Your phone sends it; your machine does the work.
24/7 background agent

Work while you sleep. No cold starts.

Schedule a research task at midnight, wake up to a finished report. Foxl runs cron-style agent loops on your machine - always warm, no cloud spin-up time. It uses your real browser session, so it can reach logins and sites that cloud agents simply cannot.

Every model, one place

Claude Opus 5, GPT-5.6, Gemini - switch mid-conversation.

Use your existing Claude Pro/Max or ChatGPT Plus subscription directly inside Foxl. No duplicate API keys, no separate billing. Local Ollama models work too. The best model for the job, every time.

100% local & private

Your data never leaves your machine.

Conversations, files, memory, and API keys stay on your hardware. Agent memory is auditable plain-text markdown you can read, edit, or delete. Approval gates block dangerous actions - shell commands, file writes, browser navigation - until you say go.

Bring your own

Your models. Your agents. Your keys.

Sign in with the Claude or ChatGPT subscription you already pay for, paste an API key, or point Foxl at a model running on your own hardware. Switch mid-conversation - nothing is locked to one vendor.

Mobile companion

Your desk keeps working. You don't have to be at it.

Send a task from your phone and your own machine runs it - files, terminal, browser, everything it already has access to. Watch it work, answer an approval, pick the result up later at your desk.

iOS runs as a public TestFlight beta - there is no App Store listing yet. The Android APK installs directly; your phone will ask you to allow it.

Runs on your machine. Nowhere else.

No cloud. The app sends no telemetry. Every action is auditable. Reach it from anywhere through an optional relay that stores nothing.

Your machine

Foxl Desktop

20+ tools, skills, memory. Browser, code, git, files.

All data stays here.

Model calls

Straight from your machine to the provider you chose, with your own key. Local models never leave it at all.

100% local

Conversations, files, memory, and API keys never leave your machine. We run no servers that store user data.

Approval gates

Dangerous actions - shell commands, file writes, browser navigation - require your explicit OK before execution.

Optional relay, nothing stored

Remote access is opt-in. The foxl.ai relay is a stateless proxy over TLS that stores nothing - it forwards and forgets - and your own API keys never touch it. Leave it off and the desktop runs entirely on your machine.

Auditable memory

All agent memory is stored as plain markdown on disk. You can read, edit, or delete it at any time.

FAQ

What can Foxl actually do?

Browse the web with your real Chrome session, execute shell commands, read/write files, search code, run a real terminal, take screenshots, send messages to Slack and email - 24 tools total. Every action requires your approval unless you explicitly allow it. Add 35 skills for things like meeting transcription, code review, and research.

How is this different from Claude Code or ChatGPT?

Foxl does what Claude Code and ChatGPT do - browser, terminal, file editing, multi-step agents. The differences: it runs 24/7 on your machine (not just while a tab is open), connects all your devices through an encrypted relay, supports every major model from one interface, and uses your real browser session so it can log into sites other agents can't reach.

Is it free?

Yes, and there is nothing to buy. Every feature is unlocked and no card is ever asked for. Foxl does not supply the model: bring your own API key, run a model locally with Ollama, or use an existing ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro subscription directly - you pay that provider, not us.

Is my data private?

Foxl runs entirely on your machine. Conversations, files, memory, and API keys stay in a local SQLite database you own. Remote access through the relay is optional: it runs over TLS and stores nothing, though it can read the messages it routes - leave it off, or use your own API key, and the relay is not involved at all. The app itself sends no telemetry and stores nothing in the cloud. Our websites use Google Analytics for page-view measurement, with your consent; the app does not.

Can I use it from my phone?

Yes, three ways: open app.foxl.ai in any mobile browser (no install), join the public iOS TestFlight beta, or sideload the Android APK. Whichever you pick, your phone reaches your own desktop over TLS through the relay - chat with your agent, watch terminal output, and approve actions. All computation happens on your machine; the phone is just the remote.
