Terms of Service

Last updated: July 29, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Foxl AI ("Foxl", "we") covering your use of Foxl Agent, Foxl Code and Foxl Notes, on desktop, web and mobile. By using Foxl you agree to them. If you do not, do not use Foxl.

1. What Foxl is

Three products that share one account:

  • Foxl Agent - an AI assistant with tools, memory, skills and schedules. It runs as a desktop app for macOS and Windows, in the browser, and on iOS.
  • Foxl Code - autonomous coding tasks that run on our servers against repositories you connect, and can open pull requests on your behalf.
  • Foxl Notes - meeting recording, live transcription and AI summaries.

2. Your account

Provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One person or organisation may hold one account.

3. Price

Foxl is free. There are no paid plans, no subscriptions and nothing to buy, so there is nothing to be billed for, nothing to cancel and nothing to refund.

  • We take no payments and hold no payment details. No card is asked for at sign-up or at any point afterwards.
  • Foxl does not supply model inference. You reach a model with your own provider key, a model you run yourself, or an existing Claude or ChatGPT subscription - see section 4. Whatever that costs is between you and that provider.
  • If paid plans are introduced later, they will not apply retroactively and these terms will be updated first.

4. Using your own provider keys

You may supply your own API keys for supported providers. Those requests are billed by the provider directly under their terms and pricing, and do not draw on Foxl credits. Your key is held on your device; when a request goes through our relay the key transits our servers to reach the provider and is not stored.

5. AI output

Responses are generated by AI models and can be wrong, out of date, or confidently mistaken. Review anything that matters before relying on it. Foxl Code writes and runs code, and can propose changes to your repositories - review its output as you would review a pull request from anyone else. You are responsible for what you do with what Foxl produces.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Foxl to:

  • break the law, or to produce content that harms people;
  • circumvent rate limits, credit metering, or any security control;
  • resell or redistribute access without our written permission;
  • scrape or overload the service by automated means;
  • record people without the consent their jurisdiction requires.

7. What you own, and what we own

You keep ownership of the content you provide and, as between you and us, of what Foxl generates for you. We keep all rights in the Foxl software, its interfaces, its skills and prompts, and its documentation. Foxl is proprietary software licensed to you for use, not sold.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, who processes it, and how to export or delete it. It is part of these terms.

9. Availability

We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. Where a change is material and affects a paid plan, we will give notice.

10. Disclaimer and liability

Foxl is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms. There is no subscription to cancel. You may delete your account from Settings at any time, which is permanent.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in the app, and continuing to use Foxl after that means accepting them.
